11 pounds later!!

Wow...is that even possible? no cant be...lets get off and step back on.OH MY GOSH!! This is what ran through my head at about 7:30 this morning when i got on the scale for the first time since I've been home.I was at Walt Disney World for the last 11 days and I ate...A LOT. When i say a lot boy do i mean it,Everyday was a new adventure to my taste buds. Some adventures were not exactly pleasant(Morocco pavilion) while others sent me to the moon(jiko@ animal kingdom lodge) and back.Well all the deliciousness caught up to me in the form of 11 pounds!!! But man oh man did I enjoy every second of it. Me and my fiance both adamantly agree we were meant for fine dining. Here are just a few pictures of some of the mouthwatering things we ate!

This is my fiance Robert eating wild boar tenderloin at jiko.Hes way more adventurous at trying new things than i am.And this didn't disappoint him one bit.The second he touched it with his fork it fell apart and the excitement on his face was so apparent, i honestly thought he was going to start clapping his hands like a child. He paired this appetizer with a African beer and was in heaven. It smelled amazing and every bite he took his smile got bigger and brighter.

This was his entree a braised beef short rib with roasted veggies in a African wine reduction. I did taste a bite of this one and wow...it was amazing!! Not only did it fall apart in your mouth, but the distinct African flavors were so apparent and so uniquely good.

This was my entree,a steak with a south african spice rub on a bed of smooth corn polenta and pearl onions, with a port wine reduction. and yes it tasted just as beautiful as it sounds.(I estimate a good solid pound came from eating this bad boy)

I am a sucker for any form of bread pudding. But this tasty little plate took me to a whole new level of bread pudding.Coconut creme bread pudding with carmel spice ice cream. You have no idea how Delicious,I will dream about this dessert for the rest of my life.

This beauty came from the Brown derby in Hollywood studios. This is duck 2 ways a crusted seared duck on sweet potato and duck confi on creamy southern style polenta.Robert ordered this and was very happy with it.
He also ordered this, it is tuna ceviche and since i do not eat fish i have no idea how to begin to describe this. He said it was very fresh and very mild and he enjoyed the simpleness of it.

Mushroom tortellini in a creamy tomato sauce.Very good and well done the mushroom filling was super smooth and the sauce did a great job at being flavorful but not over powering.

Italy pavilion at epcot was a nice day we got great Italian food in a nice laid back atmosphere. And being Italian I know good pasta and these dishes were good and simple.

RICOTTA CHEESECAKE!!two of my favorite things in one place. It was great and so silky.

Sanaa is located in the kidani village portion of the animal kingdom lodge.Unfortunately i didnt get  pictures of the food there because i was to busy shoving food into my face. This was one of the best places we ate the whole trip. It is Indian inspired African cooking. The African breads with different dipping sauces was out of this world!especially the coconut chutney oh lord i couldn't help myself when the bread was gone i started putting the coconut chutney on my chicken and couscous. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Not only is it great food scratch that AMAZING food! But the atmosphere is incredible low light and not to loud with big bay windows all around that overlook the savanna outside. We saw some giraffes the second time we ate there and one came close to the window just checking out what was going on inside. Very memorable.

Magic kingdom!

Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is the world's most popular theme park, nearly 17 millions people visit each year. The park opened on October 1, 1971, it is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Peter pans flight was great( different from the one in California) and they have fast pass! Jealous!

Mickey's philharmagic is a adorable 4d movie and great way to get out of the heat, i cant wait to take my little ones to see this(*Tip* when you get a fast pass for peter pan's flight you receive a fast pass for philharmagic)

The big news at Disney World is the new fantasyland, which opens starting next year and continues through 2013. The highlights will include a Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride, a Little Mermaid ride,an expanded Dumbo's circus area and a Beauty and the Beast restaurant. We did peek a tiny bit over the wall and use our digital camera(which has a 36x zoom) to see a tad of what was going on and it all looks great so far.I'm a huge little mermaid fan and am bummed that Florida gets prince Eric's castle, how awesome is that.I love the little mermaid ride in California so I'm super excited to ride the one
in Florida next year!

Walt disney world's not so scary halloween!

Me and my fiance just returned from a 12 day trip to Walt Disney world. We knew there was one thing we had to make sure we saw and that was Mickeys Not so scary Halloween party! We have taken our girls to the one at Disneyland resort and love it so much so we knew we had to see what the world had going on. Here is a small rundown of what we did. Upon entering the park we noticed a difference in decoration that was not apparent just a few days ago. Also we noticed that Disney world decorates more "fall themed" as at Disneyland its more Halloween themed with over 300 pumpkins and mickey ghost's.The windows on main street are reimagined to give you a chill and a tad touch of fright is added to the bigger rides. After many pictures later we make our way down main street just in time to see the "villains" stage show and that was pretty cool but not very long.

After the stage show the villians make their way down to the crowd to mingle and take pictures before they head off to get ready for the "boo to you parade".
Well after a check of the clock and a look at the park map we realized we had a whole hour untill the parade started so we set out to hit some rides. MUCH to our disappointment neither the haunted mansion or space mountain was changed for Halloween. In Disneyland space mountain becomes"ghost galaxy" and the haunted mansion gets transformed into the "haunted mansion holiday". Where it is themed nightmare before Christmas. If you have never been I urge you to go its pretty wicked especially for a nightmare before Christmas fan!check it out

After a bit of whining and a ride on pirates of the Caribbean it was time to watch the parade. We got a great spot in adventureland and thoroughly enjoyed it.Its very cute with a touch of scary, we saw some of our favorite characters and some pretty cool floats.

captain jack sparrow making all the ladys scream
The hitch hiking ghost make a appearance
while some of the 999 happy haunts dance to the music
the villains also make there way through the parade to.

After the parade we rode one more ride then headed back  to our hotel. If we had to spend the extra ticket money again we would DEFIANTLY go to Disneyland in California for Halloween, its elaborate and amazing and has so much to offer!!! for more info on it here's the link Disneyland california's not so scary halloween hope to see you there this year!
